Encouraging individuals from underrepresented backgrounds to dream big and pursue their interests in STEM through scholarships, grants, and educational material
Our Story
The GG STEM Foundation nonprofit was created by the members of FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics team 7190 the Green Girls. We founded the Green Girls, an all-girls team, in 2009. Our mission was to create an environment where girls could explore their passions free from gender stereotypes. As we grew up through the FIRST Robotics programs, we wanted to support the passions of other underrepresented groups in STEM so we founded The GG STEM Foundation. Since all of our members have graduated we have continued our legacy of diversity and inclusion by continuing to raise money for scholarships and creating educational material for STEM students from underrepresented groups.
